ANDREW PAGE AND WORCESTER'S MOBILE MECHANIC WORKING TOGETHER TO SUPPORT A LOCAL CHARITY

The UK's fastest growing motor factor, Andrew Page Limited and their customer Worcester's Mobile Mechanic, have got together to support a local Worcester charity established to provide much needed help for schools in The Gambia.

David Connellan and his wife Sue from Worcester's Mobile Mechanic - a long term Andrew Page customer - are heavily involved in The Glory Baptist Charity which supports schools and school building projects in The Gambia and the funds currently being raised will go towards refurbishing vehicles used for transporting building materials in the country. The first vehicle completed with help from Andrew Page will be driven to The Gambia in January by Sue and David. The journey will take 10 to 14 days depending on conditions.

"We are very happy to support the work of this charity", said Andrew Page Managing Director, Mark Roberts. "David and Sue have been tireless in their support for what is a very worthwhile charity which brings the gift of learning to many children in The Gambia. We are happy to play our part".

The Worcester based charity will be working to ship two further vehicles including a tipper and a minibus to The Gambia and in addition a container is being prepared which will be used to carry building materials plus other necessary equipment for the school building project. Local supporters are also being encouraged to "adopt" a wall in the school for £100!

"We really appreciate the support from Andrew Page, we have always enjoyed a close working relationship with the company.", said David Connellan, "And the contribution from them has enabled us to refurbish the LDV and Sue and I will undertake the journey to The Gambia which will be an arduous trip but the end result will be a brand new school for the children of the area."
