Find out what our very own staff have to say about their roles within Andrew Page.
Sue Wilde - Dispatcher, Preston DepotI started at Andrew Page Ltd as a driver and soon progressed to become the dispatcher, a role I think I have done successfully for the last 4 years.
I enjoy managing the driving team and take pride in making sure the customers expectations are met. I take satisfaction from the statistics available each day, which measure the success of my role so that I know I have achieved my goals and contributed to the branches success. I hope to progress within the company in the future.
Surgit Singh - Assistant Manager, Grimsby DepotStarting in 1998 at Andrew Page Ltd I had the determination to show the aims and skills required for the business, seeing opportunities and goals.
Today I have found that in the 11 years of working and putting myself into the support system available, I can see myself hitting those goals. Great company!
Rebecca Haywood - Van Driver, Preston DepotI have worked at Andrew Page Preston for 3 years at the end of August 2009.
I am a part time van driver working three and a half days per week.
I can honestly say I love the job I do; once you know where all the customers are situated, the job is really a stress free easy one.
In my opinion Andrew Page is a very good company to work for.
There is always the opportunity to learn different aspects of the job, I fill in as relief dispatcher when required, and I feel that the company runs very well, due to really good systems where everyone knows what is expected of them.
Being on the road and calling at different garages, you do meet drivers from our competition and get to talk to them.
They are always amazed that our uniforms are provided free of charge at the beginning of our employment, this is a significant cost saving on wear and tear of our own clothes and gives us a good company image.
I like the fact that we have a review every year, this gives us the opportunity to ask any questions and learn about anything new that is happening, the monthly meetings are a good opportunity for an open discussion about local issues.
I find it very encouraging that during the present 'credit crunch' Andrew Page is still opening new branches around the region, this is very good news when you are hearing on a daily basis of other large well known companies making job cuts.
I can honestly say I would really recommend Andrew Page as a good company to work for to family and friends.
