We can proudly say that Andrew Page Ltd have received multiple consecutive re-accreditations of this standard for all sites, the most recent of which was in 2009. This is a true testimony of the business effort and energy displayed by all of our staff, from board level to branch staff.
The IIP re-accreditation process involves being audited every three years by YHAL (Yorkshire and Humberside Assessment Limited), or a similar regional body, during which several sites chosen by the auditors are visited.
Once on site, the company’s standards of communication, training and staff sense of well being, are put to the test by the auditor as they discuss and investigate relevant, good communication practices with both staff and management. This includes amongst many other things the quality, benefit and frequency of staff annual reviews, the communication of the company’s annual objectives (as set by the Management Team), the understanding and purpose of various key performance indicators covering both business performance and staff development, and the general transmission and understanding of environmental and health and safety communications. It is important that the company achieves their goal of universal systems, procedures and communications to each and every staff member at every site.
An Investors in People accreditation, to us means we have become an employer of choice, with fully engaged staff at all sites, which maximises our position in the market place. We keep a keen eye on our staff turnover, it’s one of our major HR KPI's. Staff turnover has reduced dramatically year on year, to a figure that any employer would be proud of.
